N,N′-Dibromo-N,N′-1,2-ethanediylbis(benzene sulfonamide) as a novel N-bromo reagent catalyzed tetrahydropyranylation/depyranylation of alcohols and phenols under mild conditions

Preparation and catalytic application of N,N′-dibromo-N,N′-1,2-dethanediylbis(benzene sulfonamide) for tetrahydropyranylation of various types of alcohols and phenols in dichloromethane and depyranylation of these compounds in methanol at room temperature is described.
