Abstract
Two new sterols, trichiol (R1Â =Â OH, R2Â =Â H), and 3-epitrichiol acetate (R1Â =Â H, R2Â =Â OAc) with a 2,6-dioxabicyclo[2.2.2]octan-3-one ring were isolated from the field-collected fruit bodies of myxomycete Trichia favoginea var. persimilis.
