Abstract
A microwave-promoted synthesis of polyhydroxydeoxybenzoins and -phenylpropanones has been developed, using a bis{(trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl}amine (HNTf2) or BF3·OEt2 in an ionic liquid solvent.
