Abstract
Through two-step crystallization procedure and utilizing cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as a template, a KIT-1-like structural mesoporous aluminosilicate (denoted as MM-22) has been synthesized from zeolite MCM-22 precursors under basic conditions. MM-22 was characterized by XRD, FT-IR, N2 adsorption-desorption, 27Al-MAS NMR and NH3-TPD techniques. The results show that MM-22 is pure mesoporous phase, and constructed of secondary structure units of zeolite MCM-22. Compared with classic Al-MCM-41 and ZSM-5, MM-22 has stronger acidity, and shows higher catalytic activity in the alkylation reaction of phenol with tert-butanol.
