Abstract
The catalytic activities for water gas shift reaction at low temperature (LT-WGS) and the characteristics of Pt/TiO2 (R: rutile) catalysts prepared from various Pt precursors, were examined. As a result, it was found that the Pt/TiO2 (R) catalysts prepared from H2PtCl6 · 6H2O and Pt(C5H7O2)2 had relatively high catalytic activities. Further, there was a linear relationship between catalytic activity and the Pt dispersion of the catalysts. This result suggested that LT-WGS reaction on Pt/TiO2 (R) is structure insensitive, unrelated to the type of Pt precursor used.
