Improving efficiency of silicon solar cells using europium-doped silicate-phosphor layer by spin-on film coating

Compared to the bare solar cell, we obtained enhancements in the short-circuit current density (ΔJsc) of 15.01% (from 24.58 to 28.27 mA/cm2) and 30.27% (from 24.58 to 32.02 mA/cm2) from cells coated with a SiO2 layer and those with a mixed layer of SiO2-phosphor particles, respectively.
