Abstract
- Three-dimensional flower-like Eu3+ and Sm3+-activated BiOCl globular microarchitectures have been synthesized.
- Ostwald ripening and recrystallization are responsible for the growth mechanism of BiOCl microarchitectures.
- Efficient red-emission from Eu3+:BiOCl is observed due to the well-crystallized structures of the microarchitectures.
