Abstract
- Undoped and Ni doped ZnO nanorods have been synthesized by facile chemical method.
- Ni doping has strongly influenced the Raman and optical properties of ZnO nanorods.
- Large number of crystal defects may be induced in ZnO via Ni doping.
- Ni doping significantly enhanced the antibacterial activity of ZnO nanorods.
- Multi-drug resistant bacteria may be completely eradicated by Ni doped ZnO nanorods.
