Abstract
- ZnO:Eu3+ NPr was successfully prepared by a simple solution combustion method.
- Pure ZnO formed at low doping concentrations, while Eu2O3 formed at higher concentration.
- PL spectra studies showed strong emission bands at â¼618Â nm.
- The relative strength of covalent/ionic bonds between the Eu3+ and the ligands was estimated.
- The ZnO:Eu3+ NPr is a strong candidate for future red emitting light sources.
