Abstract
TEM images of Si/MWCNT nanocomposites: (a) silicon coated MWCNTs and (b) bare MWCNTs and coated MWCNT surfaces at same image. Silicon/MWCNT coaxial composite anodes were produced via DC magnetron sputtering technique. CR2016 type coin cells were assembled for electrochemical characterization of anodes. Electrochemical characterizations of anodes were conducted via galvanostatic charge/discharge, cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy techniques.
