Abstract
- Amorphous SiO2 particles were prepared and modified by [(perfluorobutyl)methyl]oxirane and -thiirane.
- Covalent bonding was established between SiO2 particles and the organic part.
- Friction coefficients of base oil with modified SiO2 additives were estimated.
