Abstract
- Silica (SiO2) coated and uncoated nickel ferrite nanoparticles of comparable sizes have been prepared by sol-gel method and co-precipitation method, respectively.
- Surface effects in both kinds of nanoparticles have been investigated in detail using SQUID-magnetometer.
- Hysteresis loops, zero field cooled/field cooled (ZFC/FC) curves, thermoremanent magnetization (TRM), temperature dependent AC susceptibility measurement protocols have been used to study the magnetic behavior of coated and uncoated nanoparticles.
