Abstract
The higher photocatalytic activity of Zn2GeO4 after post-calcination than that without any calcination is mainly attributed to the higher crystallinity and the reduction of impurity of Zn2GeO4. The higher activity of Zn2GeO4 via hydrothermal method than that of SSR is mainly due to its larger surface area. It is put forward that hydrothermal synthesis and then post-calcination is an efficient method for preparation highly active photocatalyst with high crystallinity and large surface area.
