Abstract
The improved activity of Pt/MnOx-CeO2 (Pt/CM) in NOÂ +Â O2 would be attributed to the role of NO2 resulting from NO oxidation and the acceleration on the desorption of surface active oxygen as a result of surface nitrate decomposition. However, these could be affected by sulfur poisoning, thereby leading to the deactivation of the catalyst.
