Abstract

- Indium hydroxide (In(OH)3) with mesoporous structure was synthesized via a sol-gel hydrothermal treatment.
- Mesoporous In(OH)3 obtained larger surface area and exhibited higher activity in adsorption of CO2.
- Photoreduction of CO2 into renewable hydrocarbon fuels over mesoporous In(OH)3 was successfully realized.
- The evolution rate of CH4 over the mesoporous In(OH)3 is 19 times higher than that of n-In(OH)3.
