Abstract
⺠PTFE/Ag composite electrode layers with high specific surface were produced by pulsed laser deposition. ⺠Voltage fluctuation on cholesterol solution covered electrodes was measured while maintaining constant electric current. ⺠The power spectral density of the detected noise was found to depend on the cholesterol concentration. ⺠The difference between the recorded spectra was quantified by means of Principal Component Analysis. ⺠Fluctuation-enhanced sensing on sponge-like PTFE/Ag electrodes and may be useful tool non-enzymatic cholesterol detection.
