Abstract
► Buried optical waveguides fabrication by femtosecond laser inscription is presented. ► The 0.8CaSiO3-0.2Ca3(PO4)2 glass doped with Nd3+ ions has been used as substrate. ► The effects produced by the variation of the laser processing conditions were studied. ► Light confinement conditions were determined. ► The spectroscopic properties of the neodymium ions were evaluated.
