Abstract

- Mono-dispersed silver nanoparticles has been incorporated within the in d-CSA doped polyaniline matrix by a one-pot synthetic route.
- Silver nanoparticle-dispersion significantly improves the carrier mobility and space charge limited conduction.
- The degree of delocalization of charge carriers within the polyaniline improves due to the presence of silver nanoparticles.
- Silver nanoparticles within the polyaniline matrix increases the fraction of free charge carriers at the same doping level by decreasing the concentration of traps.
- The temperature dependent mobility show nonlinear hybrid nature.
