Abstract
⺠We study orientation dependence of strain in copper single crystals in dry sliding. ⺠We found differences in strain patterns between 1¯11- and [1 1 0]-single crystals. ⺠As shown, severe deformation results in formation of a lip for both orientations. ⺠Morphology of this lip depends on the single crystal orientation and slip systems.
