Abstract
▸ Te microtubes were thermally oxidized in a tube furnace at different temperatures. ▸ Novel α-TeO2 microstructures were obtained. ▸ They consisted of porous scaffold microtubes covered with pearl-like microwires. ▸ The possible formation mechanism of the obtained microstructures was discussed.
