Abstract
▸ Fabrication of stable superhydrophobic Sn surfaces by a displacement reaction. ▸ The highest water contact angle was 156° without any surface modification. ▸ The superhydrophobicity was related with the formation of Sn dendrites. ▸ The water droplet occurred in Cassie state on the surface of Sn dendrites. ▸ This procedure is facile, time-saving and cheap.
