Abstract
► A facile and highly efficient approach for surface modification of PET fiber was introduced. ► FTIR spectrum analysis proves that MDI is fixed on the PET surface. ► The chemical bonding at the interface between the fiber and matrix based on the reaction of NCO + HO-R → NH-COO-R. ► The PET fiber modified with NCO groups have a potential usage for composite fabrication.
