Abstract
⺠The surface texturing can reduce the friction and wear. ⺠The change of dimple area fraction can lead to dramatic reduction in the friction and wear. An optimum dimple area fraction is found. ⺠A numerical model of the load carrying capacity of the multi-dimples is developed.
