Abstract
⺠Diamond-like carbon (DLC) synthesized and characterized, DLC surface modified with silicon (Si-DLC). ⺠Adsorption study using amino acid glycine. ⺠Investigation of glycine configuration using spectroscopic ellipsometry, FTIR and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopes (XPS). ⺠Mechanism of adsorption investigated change due to esterification of carboxyl species. ⺠Small amount of silicon content DLC enhance the glycine adsorption.
