Abstract
⺠In general, the texture in engineering ceramics surface is fine and dense, when the fractal dimension is high. ⺠The size order of fractal dimension is steel, zirconia, silicon nitride and alumina. It is the same as the order of fracture toughness of four materials. ⺠With the higher value of the fractal dimensions, they can indicate the better wear resistance for the same material.
