Abstract
⺠A novel flame spray approach using suspension/powder feedstock was proposed. ⺠Controllable hybrid micro/nano-structured titania coatings was deposited. ⺠The coatings are super hydrophilic. ⺠Relative contents of anatase and rutile in the titania coatings can be tailored. ⺠Effect of the hybrid structures on coating mechanical properties was elucidated.
