Abstract
► Oriented ZnO nanorod arrays were prepared by seed-layer-free electrodeposition. ► The effects of Zn(NO3)2 concentration, deposition time and current are investigated. ► The sizes of nanorods can be tuned by controlling the electrodeposition parameters.
