Abstract

- Cu2−XSe thin film with cubic berzelianite phase was fabricated by galvanic deposition.
- Cubic berzelianite phase was found to possess both direct and indirect band gaps of 2.9 and 1.05 eV respectively.
- Cu2−XSe thin films were found to be active visible light driven photocatalyst.
- Thermoelectric property of Cu2−XSe film was investigated and ZT value was found to be 0.07 at room temperature.
