Abstract
⺠For a given nitriding process, 17-4 PH stainless steel obtained a thickest nitrided film among three samples used in this study. ⺠The constituted phases situated in the nitrided films on 304, 430 and 17-4 PH stainless steels were analysed and reported. ⺠The highest N 1s counts were detected from the nitrided film on the 17-4 PH stainless steel.
