Abstract
► MoO3 powders are successfully synthesized via a facile chemical method. ► Well-dispersed MoO3 rods are formed when 1,3-diaminopropane (DAP) added. ► Light absorption capacity of DAP-induced MoO3 is improved due to large surface area. ► DAP-induced MoO3 shows better photochromic properties than the non-induced one.
