Abstract
⺠11-(2-Bromoisobutyrate)-undecyl-1-phosphonic acid has been synthesized. ⺠11-(2-Bromoisobutyrate)-undecyl-1-phosphonic forms a monolayer on Phynox substrate. ⺠This monolayer plays the role of the initiator for MPC ATRP polymerization. ⺠Two conditions have been used: unheated during 24 h and heated at 90 °C during 1 h. ⺠Heating the system led to a more hydrophilic polymer.
