Abstract
► We have synthesized β-Cyclodextrin modified Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles, and the nanoparticles were used as a modified electrode for detecting uric acid. ► We verified that uric acid could form stable host-guest inclusion complexes with cyclodextrins and detected by cyclic voltammograms. ► The new material not only shows the good properties of magnetic nanoparticles but also exhibits molecular recognition properties.
