Abstract
- In terms of corrosion potential and corrosion current density, the poorest corrosion resistance of the Zr-based metallic glass matrix composites was displayed in the NaOH solution. Scan electron microscopy examinations suggests that it is not the case.
- The amorphous matrix and crystalline dendrites of the Zr-based MGMCs shown different corrosion behaviors.
- The enrichment of Cu and Be in the amorphous matrix is regarded as the accounting factors for selective dissolution of the amorphous matrix phase.
