Abstract

- Textured surface with random order of bumps was fabricated by means of electrodeposition.
- The CrN or/and Cr2N are formed during the process of nitrogen implantation. The phases generated in the coating depend on the implantation dose and seem to have little to do with the implantation energy.
- The wear resistance of bumps is improved due to the formation of CrN or/and Cr2N. A high implanted dose has a more significant effect on tribological properties improvement.
