Abstract
⺠The TiO2 mesoporous film can be formed by anodizing of titanium specimens in the hot phosphate/glycerol electrolyte. ⺠The mesoporous film formed at 20 V without annealing was a mixture of amorphous phase and nanograined anatase, which clearly showed strong ã0 0 1ã preferred orientation. ⺠Even without annealing, the as-anodized anatase TiO2 mesoporous film showed high photocatalytic activities for decomposition of water and methylene blue. ⺠The as-anodized anatase TiO2 mesoporous film also showed superhydrophilicity with UV light irradiation.
