Abstract
► Intense green emitting YTbxBO3 phosphor developed in optimized reaction conditions. ► Thermal degradation completely arrested by capping with silica nanoparticles. ► Shorter decay time (4 ms) achieved compared to commercially used green ZSM phosphor. ► Novelty of the work is in achieving high luminescence efficiency in the YBT system. ► Degradation resistant monochromatic green phosphor for PDP, Xe lighting developed.
