Abstract
⺠Laser techniques MAPLE and PLD can successfully be used to produce LDHs thin films. ⺠Hydration treatments of the PLD and MAPLE deposited films lead to the LDH reconstruction effect. ⺠The Ni retention from aqueous solution occurs in the films via a dissolution-reconstruction mechanism. ⺠The films are suitable for applications in remediation of contaminated drinking water or waste waters.
