Abstract
⺠During PD damage, surface of insulation paper was investigated by optical microscope and SEM. ⺠Surface products and their components were studied by IR and XPS. ⺠Volume variation of cavity gas was also analyzed. ⺠Gas constituents and their relevant contents were studied by GC-MS. ⺠Formation mechanism of damage products was also explored.
