Abstract
- Degradation behavior of modified Carbon Black (CB) epoxy coating was studied under UV irradiation using based on EIS technique.
- By using SDS as a surfactant, nano particles of CB were uniformly dispersed in an epoxy matrix.
- ATR-FTIR analysis showed that the CB coatings were degraded less than epoxy coating.
- EIS results showed the coating with 2.5Â wt% CB nanoparticles had higher corrosion resistance than neat epoxy.
