Abstract
► One pot solution synthesis of well crystalline SnO2 quantum dots. ► Self assembly of quantum dots into mesoscopic spheres by surface adjoinment without template. ► Quantum confinement effect observed for SnO2 quantum dots. ► Luminescence and decay time indicate the recombination mechanism. ► Large area meso spheres with quantum confined properties of SnO2 quantum dots achieved.
