Abstract
► A facile approach for fabricating nanoporous metallic surface is proposed. ► The formation mechanism of the nanoporous structure is investigated. ► The morphology and wettability of the nanoporous surface are characterized. ► The nanoporous surface shows significant enhancement of boiling heat transfer.
