Abstract
⺠Through-hole AAO membranes are fabricated by anodizing of Al in acidic electrolytes. ⺠AAO templates are employed for fabrication of free-standing cooper foils covered with highly-ordered Cu nanowire arrays. ⺠As prepared nanostructured electrodes are mechanically stable and easy to handle.
