Abstract
⺠Application of a novel cladding technique has been illustrated. ⺠Domestic microwave oven at 900 W was used to develop composite clads. ⺠Confirms metallurgical bonding of clads to substrate. ⺠Flexural behavior of the clads has been analyzed using bend test and fractography. ⺠Clads exhibit uniform microstructure and good adhesion with the substrate.
