Abstract
⺠Depth profiles of passive films and the chemical content underneath the film on stainless steel by combining ARXPS and HAXPES. ⺠Nickel is enriched underneath the passive film in the bulk. ⺠Three different chromium oxides were found in the high resolution HAXPES spectra.
