Abstract
⺠NiTi was surface modified by plasma electrolytic oxidation in Na3PO4 electrolyte. ⺠Sub-micron sized pores were generated at 300 V. ⺠O, Ti, P, Ni and a Ni/Ti atomic ratio of 0.4 were detected by EDS analyses. ⺠Wettability and surface free energy increased after oxidation. ⺠Attractive surface features for biomedical applications.
