Abstract
▶ Ag, Au or Cu loaded TiO2 nanotubes as active and reproducible SERS substrate. ▶ SERS activity of the composites is strongly dependent on the amount of metal deposit. ▶ The SERS activity of Au or Cu loaded composites is distinctly lower than those with Ag. ▶ High activity of Ag loaded composites is mainly a result of their specific morphology.
