Abstract
⺠The surface integrity changes induced by LEHCPEBTs were investigated. ⺠The hardness was determined by nanoindention method. ⺠The modification mechanism for LEHCPEBTs was proposed. ⺠There is no new phase but dislocation and fine grains in modified surface layer.
