Abstract
⺠Turbostratic or hexagonal BN coatings were successfully deposited by CVD using borazine. ⺠The coating uniformly and perfectly surrounds the individual fibers within the bundles. ⺠The coatings are smooth and compact. ⺠A diffusion of carbon from the fiber to the coatings occurred at the fiber/coating interfacial zone.
