Abstract
- Highly dispersed Ag NP were synthesized and anchored on eggshell particles by ball milling.
- The antimicrobial activity of the eggshell/Ag nanocomposite and pristine Ag NPs were compared.
- The eggshell/Ag nanocomposite showed superior antimicrobial properties.
- The hydrophilic groups of the protein in eggshell promoted the dispersion in aqueous solution.
