Abstract
▶ Poly (N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone) capped LaF3:Eu3+ nanocrystals have been prepared. ▶ The nanocrystals can be readily dispersed in water, forming transparent colloidal solution, which display unique red luminescence under ultraviolet excitation. ▶ The nanocrystals may have promising applications for fluorescent labels.
